SGU Students Donate to the Pediatrics Department at Grenada General Hospital

St. George’s University Pediatrics Club, along with Urban Humanitarian Projects (UHP) and the American Medical Students Association donated a Dinamap Pro Series Vital Signs Monitor to the Pediatrics Department at Grenada General Hospital on Friday, May 16, 2014.

Valued at over $10,000EC, this equipment is an all-in-one vitals monitor which records blood pressure, temperature, and pulse oximetry; with a child assortment of blood pressure cuff sizes. This equipment allows for faster and more accurate assessment of pediatric patients’ vital signs. According to Dr. Samuel Pierre, Director of Hospital Services, “This donation takes us one step further towards fulfilling our mandate to deliver optimum health care throughout all stages of life in Grenada.”
