Courtesy of St. George’s University, residents at the Richmond Home for the Elderly can utilize a new dedicated recreational venue on the premises – a large tent capable of hosting a wide range of recreational activities.
The idea of a tent arose following a workshop for the nurses at the compound. Honorable Ann David-Antoine, Advisor to the Minister of Health and Social Security and coordinator of the donations desk at that ministry, Ms. Yvonne King, Ward Manager at the home, were on hand to receive the donation from SGU.
“The Ministry is grateful for SGU’s quick response to this request,” said Honorable David-Antoine. “The residents will benefit greatly from this donation which will be used for their general recreation, social events and occupational therapy.”
